I started this blog after Alva was born because i wanted to take part in the 52 Project of Jodi Wilson. The project is about taking a picture of your child every week and to post it. I love this project for many reasons. Because it's fun, because i love to scroll back in time and see how my son grew, because it's an easy way to share pictures with my family and friends far away and because it needs me to be committed in order for it to work.
At the same time, i always had mixed feelings about putting my child "out there" on the internet. I feel that it's not quite right to do so without Alva's explicit consent...In a world where we all have become some sort of public figures with our facebook, intagram and twitter accounts, i want to protect his childhood from this overexposure. That's why i am limiting photos of him to the weekly picture and every once in a while to a shot taken during one of our travel adventures.
So this blog is naturally growing to be about mostly other stuff than the "sprout" and i hope you'll enjoy reading through it anyways.
